Opaheke School Year 8 Camp 2021

 Everywhere darkness, no light no nothing, only a rope to save your dear life. On Tuesday 23rd February at night all of us started to head our way into the bush for the Bruma Trail one started going in one by one little did we know that the parents were planning something. We brought torches but weren't allowed to use them unless you REALLY REALLY REALLY needed to use it or for Safety Purposes. The rope was very sus you had to go up some what we call (root stairs) to even banging your foot on a tree or a.k.a. hitting into someone. If you were really scared like some other people were, you'd hold onto the person in front of you's shoulder, the only way you were able to communicate was but screaming, talking or crying(do not cry). Then all of a sudden you just happen to know THAT WE HEAR A RUSTLE COMING FROM THE BUSHES (Next Year's Year 8's GOOD. On Wednesday the 24th of February, we had a very loud and rowdy quiz night. our group "INSERT NAME HERE" was in a tie-breaker with group destructive donkeys, right up until the end. out of no where the parents AKA he parent trap swooped in and took the lead. of course the parents won because they WERE using there phone's...good luck for next year's quiz night. Splash the student hit the waters zooming past the crowd, as their head popped out of the mud. P.S. the water is not chocolate milk  we  warn you not to drink for the sake of your own taste buds.

 On Thursday 25th of February our legs were dead and backs were aching. That day we challenged ourselves to walk to and back from Hunua Falls. There was a lot of complaining and injuries happening for example people cut themselves on branches and scraped knees on the rocks. All in all, it was a very eventful hike.
